The operating challenge

Move tyres through successive production stages, change travel direction and maintain the orientation needed for downstream scanning. The handling equipment and identification station must work as one system.

The complete engineering scope

• A 5-metre modular belt input conveyor with geared drive, adjustable speed and an accessible industrial frame.
• A tyre rotation and transfer conveyor for 90° directional changes, tyre spacing and orientation.
• Position sensors and guide rollers at the transition to downstream scanning.
• A gravity output conveyor with engineered roller spacing, adjustable incline and cushioned stops.
• A barcode scanning station connecting product identity with the production database and quality inspection workflow.

How IT and OT work together

The conveyor moves and positions the physical product; the scanner provides its digital identity. The documented scope includes production database updates, inspection flags and workflow data. For each new installation, scan acknowledgement, unreadable codes, blocked downstream equipment and operator recovery must be agreed during interface design.

What the project material establishes

The supplied project material describes the system layout, 3D design and integrated conveyor components. Its stated aims include smoother material flow, an optimized footprint and reduced manual handling.
